The Fort Hood PD Training Branch is providing the District Attorney's Office with one to two seats for training. The seats being provided are free of charge to our County Law Enforcement agencies (Coryell County Sheriff's Dept., Precinct Constables, Gatesville PD, and Copperas Cove PD). All courses are TCLEOSE approved and count towards continuing education points to obtain training certificates. Priority of courses is given to law enforcement officers within the county. Outside agencies, please email marte.martinez@us.army.mil for available open seats.
For schools and course information being offered by TEEX, check out their website here. For TMPA schools and course information click here. For information on PPCT course information click here.
Fort Hood is a closed and secured post. If you are attending training in a POV with regular license plates OR an unmarked police unit with regular license plates, then you must obtain a temporary visitors pass for the duration of the training. One week before the scheduled start of the training, go to the Visitors Control Center Bldg. #69012 which is the 1st building on the right hand side once you enter post from T.J. Mills Blvd. (used to be called Hood Rd.) just past the Welcome Sign. At the VCC you must obtain a temporary pass to enter the installation for the duration of the training period. To get a pass, you will need your vehicle registration or rental agreement, drivers license and valid proof of insurance. If you are entering post with a marked police unit WITH exempt plates, then a temporary pass is not necessary (show the security personnel your drivers license). Task Force vehicles operating under "Ghost Plates" will not be able to obtain any vehicle pass.
